PhuongBang Nguyen (Bang Nguyen)

My research area is in the Communication Theory and Systems discipline.  My research interests include multiuser scheduling techniques, Device-to-Device (D2D) communications, Heterogeneous Networks, Multi-Radio Systems (Multi-RATs), Compressed Sensing/Sparse Signal Recovery, and machine learning techniques for communications.  I also have a keen interest in modern Forward Error Correcting (FEC) codes.

My current works focus on multi-user scheduling techniques that emphasize the exploitation of multiuser diversity while maintaining user fairness.  Research topics include developing novel scheduling policies, characterizing systems performance, ensuring QoS, mitigating delays, among others.
